An experienced Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) expert with over two decades of experience in the field. She is Mphil PHD scholar in Gender Studies and holds a Master’s degree in Rural Development from Tribhuvan University, a Bachelor’s degree in Law, and a Postgraduate Degree in Psychosocial Counseling from Nepal.

Throughout her career, Sarita has been deeply involved in providing training on gender-responsive planning and budgeting, conducting audits, and developing GESI strategies. She has held prominent roles, including serving as a GESI Expert for the Provincial and Local Governance Support Program (PLGSP) with UNDP, a Gender Analyst at UNFPA, and a Senior Program Coordinator at WOREC.

Sarita has also worked as a consultant and GESI Expert for various organizations, including the USAID Nepal Engineering Project, Asian Development Bank, FHI360, and Plan International Nepal. Her consultancy work has focused on developing training manuals, policies, and resource books related to gender and social inclusion.
